About the roleWe are seeking an experienced Pre-Sales Engineer to support our growing healthcare-focused sales organization. This role sits at the intersection of pre-sales engineering, healthcare interoperability, and secure data automation, working closely with Sales, Product, and Engineering teams to design and articulate solutions that solve real-world healthcare document and integration challenges.
The ideal candidate brings a strong technical foundation, deep familiarity with healthcare document workflows, and hands-on experience with APIs and HL7 FHIR-based integrations into EHR platforms.
Essential Functions:Pre-Sales & Solution Engineering
• Provide technical pre-sales support to the sales organization throughout the full sales cycle
• Deliver compelling product demonstrations, technical presentations, and solution walkthroughs to healthcare prospects, customers, and partners
• Design and articulate end-to-end solution architectures leveraging Concord's secure document exchange and data automation platform
• Translate customer business, clinical, and technical requirements into scalable, compliant healthcare solutions
• Serve as the technical subject matter expert during discovery, proof-of-concept, and proposal phases
• Educate and enable the sales team on Concord platform capabilities, healthcare use cases, and integration approaches
Healthcare Integration & Workflow Expertise• Analyze and advise on healthcare document workflows, including inbound and outbound document exchange, clinical and administrative use cases, and automation opportunities
• Architect solutions incorporating secure document exchange, data extraction and classification, and workflow automation across healthcare environments
• Work with prospective clients to plan for integrations using APIs and HL7 FHIR standards to connect Concord solutions with EHRs and related healthcare systems
• Architect and explain end-to-end healthcare solutions that incorporate secure messaging servers and transport mechanisms (e.g., SMTP-based systems, Exchange-integrated environments, and healthcare secure messaging platforms) to enable compliant document delivery, workflow automation, and downstream EHR integrations
• Communicate security, compliance, and architectural considerations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Client & Partner Engagement• Analyze client environments and propose appropriate integration and deployment strategies for Concord solutions
• Act as a technical liaison between customers, partners, and internal teams, surfacing risks, dependencies, and optimization opportunities
• Support the creation and validation of technical architecture, integration, and security documentation for prospects and customers
• Support the development and presentation of solution value propositions that clearly articulate Concord's differentiation in secure document exchange and healthcare automation
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Enablement• Partner closely with Product Management and Engineering to ensure accurate solution positioning and delivery alignment
• Provide clear technical handoff documentation and implementation context to Professional Services and Implementation teams
• Share customer feedback and market insights to inform product roadmap and feature prioritization
• Maintain advanced technical knowledge of Concord products, healthcare interoperability standards, and industry trends
Required Qualifications:• 5+ years of experience in a Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or Technical Pre-Sales role in the Healthcare space.
• Strong understanding of healthcare document workflows, including secure document exchange and automation
• Hands-on experience with data extraction and classification technologies
• Solid working knowledge of APIs and system-to-system integrations
• Clear understanding of HL7 FHIR-based integrations into EHR or healthcare systems
• Experience supporting enterprise or healthcare SaaS sales cycles
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and executive audiences
Preferred Qualifications:• Background in healthcare IT, interoperability, or clinical/administrative systems
• Experience with secure messaging, document management, or intelligent document processing platforms
• Familiarity with healthcare security and compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA, HITRUST)
• Programming or scripting experience supporting API integrations
• Experience collaborating with Professional Services or Implementation teams
Compensation Range: $140,000 - $170,000
Range can flux dependent on experience, education/training, etc.
