Position Summary:

The Pre-Op Registered Nurse is responsible for providing professional nursing care to surgical patients in the preoperative setting. this position performs patient assessment, prepares patients for surgery, coordinates care with surgeons and anesthesia providers, and ensures safe, efficient patient flow. Review medical history, laboratory results and diagnostic students. Verify surgical procedures, informed consent, and patient identification. Initiates labs, EKG.

Qualifications:

Requires Current California Registered Nurse license.

Current American Heart Association BCLS certification

Current American Heart Association ACLS certification.

Basic Arrhythmia Course Certificate.

Prefer one year experience of acute care or perioperative nursing experience.
