Qualifications

• BS or 2-year degree in electrical engineering preferred, with microprocessor relay communication experience.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in high voltage electrical equipment testing and inspection.
• Strong knowledge of power equipment testing, commissioning, and maintenance.
• Proven management and supervisory capabilities.
• Superior verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent safety record.
• Extensive familiarity with electrical apparatus in the power industry, including transformers, breakers, and switchgear.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate testing and commissioning of electrical substations for utility clients.
• Prepare work plans and oversee project testing functions for new or modified transmission facilities.
• Review and develop isolation and restoration work plans; execute integrated functional test plans and tests.
• Direct troubleshooting efforts to address functional test deficiencies effectively.
• Mark up field change drawings and project closure packages within 30 days post project.
• Support Design Engineering and Substation Construction teams with field information and requirements.
• Provide technical guidance on complex issues, ensuring adherence to customer design standards.
