Job Summary and ResponsibilitiesAs our Pre-Admission Testing Registered Nurse (RN), you will help patients and their families by performing the full nursing process, from assessment to evaluation of care, so they can receive safe, therapeutic, and age-appropriate care that aligns with their needs and promotes optimal outcomes.
Every day you will provide direct patient care, implement care plans, and administer medications, in addition to documenting patient progress and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. You will be expected to maintain accurate records, adhere to all patient care policies, and uphold the highest professional and ethical standards, ensuring patient safety and satisfaction.
To be successful in this role, you must possess strong clinical nursing skills, excellent communication and documentation abilities, and a commitment to patient advocacy. You must also be able to work both independently and collaboratively, manage your workload effectively amidst interruptions, and demonstrate a deep understanding of patient care standards and regulations.
- Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with other practitioners as required and adjust nursing care processes as indicated to unsure optimal patient care.
- Implements patient histories, assesses patient's conditions, and develops individualized care plans for assigned patients.
- Documents on care plans as patient care evolves, including resolutions of problems.
- Assesses patient educational needs and barriers to learning to implements patient education and documents teaching.
- Administers and controls narcotics and medications accurately and in a timely manner and signs out narcotics and medications according to hospital policy.
- Maintains accurate documentation of patient's progress, nursing care, records and reports.
Job RequirementsRequired- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Six (6) months or more of acute care experience
- One (1) year critical care, intensive care, or post anesthesia care experience
- Registered Nurse: CA (RN:CA)
- AHA Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR)
- AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Preferred- Bachelors Of Science in Nursing
- One (1) yearof critical care, intensive care, or post anesthesia care experience
