Location Hybrid in Nashville, TN About the job you9re considering Capgemini is seeking a skilled SQL Server DBA to manage, maintain, and optimize enterprise SQL Server databases supporting critical business applications. The role requires expertise in database performance tuning, high availability, disaster recovery, security, and cloud platforms. You will ensure database reliability, scalability, and operational excellence across production environments. Your Role Security User and Role Management Database Permissions Authentication and Authorization Security Best Practices Preferred Qualifications Experience with cloud database platforms: Azure SQL Database Azure Managed Instance AWS RDS for SQL Server Knowledge of PowerShell scripting and automation. Experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts. Exposure to monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Redgate SQL Monitor, or SentryOne. Preferred Certifications Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate Microsoft SQL Server Certifications Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) Your skils and Experience Database Administration Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server environments. Perform database installations, upgrades, patching, and migrations. Monitor and maintain database health, availability, and overall system performance. Develop and maintain database standards, documentation, and operational procedures. Performance Monitoring & Optimization Monitor database performance and proactively identify bottlenecks. Optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, indexes, and execution plans. Analyze performance metrics and implement tuning recommendations. Monitor disk space, memory usage, CPU utilization, and server health. Backup & Recovery Design, implement, and maintain backup and recovery strategies. Perform Full, Differential, and Transaction Log backups. Conduct database restore testing and disaster recovery validation. Ensure compliance with recovery point objectives (RPO) and recovery time objectives (RTO). High Availability & Disaster Recovery (HADR) Configure and support: Always On Availability Groups Failover Clustering Database Mirroring Log Shipping Perform failover testing and disaster recovery drills. Maintain highly available database environments with minimal downtime. The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is $82,082 to $193,440 Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law. The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction.
