Preferred Certifications Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate Microsoft SQL Server Certifications Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) Your skils and Experience Database Administration Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server environments. Perform database installations, upgrades, patching, and migrations. Monitor and maintain database health, availability, and overall system performance. Develop and maintain database standards, documentation, and operational procedures. Performance Monitoring & Optimization Monitor database performance and proactively identify bottlenecks. Optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, indexes, and execution plans. Analyze performance metrics and implement tuning recommendations. Monitor disk space, memory usage, CPU utilization, and server health. Backup & Recovery Design, implement, and maintain backup and recovery strategies. Perform Full, Differential, and Transaction Log backups. Conduct database restore testing and disaster recovery validation. Ensure compliance with recovery point objectives (RPO) and recovery time objectives (RTO). High Availability & Disaster Recovery (HADR) Configure and support: Always On Availability Groups Failover Clustering Database Mirroring Log Shipping Perform failover testing and disaster recovery drills. Maintain highly available database environments with minimal downtime. The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is $82,082 to $193,440 Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws.
