Practice Technology Trainer in our Richmond office. This position facilitates learning experiences that enable individuals to leverage technology to its fullest extent. Develops an insight into practice-specific procedures and individual user requirements to design, organize, and provide skill development and enhancement-oriented training.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Supports firm initiatives by a) establishing excellent working relationships with lawyers and staff; b) helping them acquire/maintain the skills necessary to optimize their utilization of firm technology; and c) employing firm best-practices to achieve a higher level of performance for routine tasks and thereby enhancing client service.
2. Facilitates the seamless integration of new attorneys and staff through comprehensive onboarding sessions, conducted both in-person and via Zoom. Assess the effectiveness of these programs, making adjustments, as necessary, to ensure new hires are fully equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in their roles.
3. Conducts monthly classes, and individual or group training for the firm's attorneys and support staff for all offices both in-person and via Zoom. Enhances training programs based on learner feedback and emerging industry best practices.
4. Creates and updates training documentation, eLearning modules, videos, and resources to educate attorneys and staff within the firm about emerging technological advancements. Contributes to the Firm's IT knowledge base, training materials, best-practices, quick reference guides, frequently asked questions, and other internal communications based on experience and observations working with the legal practices
5. Becomes subject matter expert in assigned firm-wide and practice specific software.
6. Utilizes the firm's incident management system to report training-related questions, technology/system issues, track resolutions, identify trends and opportunities for additional training, coaching, and/or system enhancements.
7. May participate in the identification and evaluation of new or updated technologies and applications, including participating in pilot groups; researching industry best practices; preparing and executing quality assurance (testing) plans; coordinating pilot users; and documenting the results, user feedback, and recommendations from such efforts.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. College degree preferred.
2. Experience: Minimum of three years' job-related experience required, including internships, preferably in a law firm, professional services, or other client relationship-based organization. Proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
3. Other Qualifications: Compliance with Firm in-office policy required. Ability to generate a large volume of work and be capable of making sound decisions in the absence of clear instructions. Exceptional written and verbal communication and listening skills. Accurate typing, word processing skills and ability to pay strict attention to detail. Spelling, punctuation and use of grammar must be of high quality. Must have strong organizational skills. Ability to work well under pressure, patience, diplomacy, high stress tolerance, ability to prioritize workload and adapt to changing conditions. Visual acuity needed for transcription, extensive reading and moderate or advanced keyboard usage. Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Ability to receive and convey detailed information through both written and oral communications. Ability to lift, carry, reach, stoop or bend, at times repetitively, for tasks involving filing or movement of files/supplies weighing up to 5-10 pounds. Essential competency processes include language ability, reasoning and memory. Ability to maintain flexibility regarding work assignments to work overtime on short notice required. Ability to work in a cooperative manner as a member of a team. The expected salary range for Richmond, VA based employees is $76,100 - $101,850, though salaries for employees based outside of Richmond, VA may differ. Beyond an employment candidate's physical location, salary offers may be based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, education, training and/or experience.
