Conducts monthly staff meetings and ensures designated trainings are completed and information is disseminated to employees as requested by leadership.
Holds a daily huddle to discuss the schedule for the day, staffing, and other pertinent information.
Assures adequate provider coverage to meet patient needs at all times.
Practices financial stewardship in all purchases for the location, including supplies and equipment.
Reviews service line finances to identify savings opportunities and implement resolution.
Participates in the hiring process by following interview guidelines. Provides timely feedback on candidates.
Completes onboarding for new employees and offboarding for terminated employees in the HRIS system.
Assures employee evaluations, including 30-60-90-day, are completed in a timely manner and appropriate goals are set.
Manages staff performance including supervising, coaching/counseling front office and clinical staff daily.
Oversees the timekeeping of direct reports by monitoring time clock activities and ensuring time is recorded appropriately, to include Advanced Practice Providers. Signs off on timecards in a timely manner.
Tracks physician and APP time off.
Address issues raised by providers, employees, and patients and seek out appropriate leaders or partners to problem solve and improve processes.
Communicate with patients and family members, providers, and staff to address complaints, customer recovery, and develop a resolution.
Manages the staff and business operations of the practice(s). Delegates responsibility and commensurate authority to designated subordinates.
Supervises and directs departmental orientation of new staff in collaboration with the Director of Clinical Quality and Education, if applicable, ensuring staff familiarity with Boice-Willis policies and procedures.
Develops and maintains physician templates, monitors statistical data and operational issues to ensure benchmarks are met & schedules are efficient. Encourages providers to grow their practice.
Responsible for freezing and blocking provider schedules.
Monitors denials, corrects and/or assists in the resolution of denial and reimbursement issues. Regularly reviews denials as well as coding issues with providers.
Maintain frequent and positive dialogue with physicians serving as a liaison and resource to physicians in regard to operational issues.
Monitors and identifies trends. Develops action plans for improvement and implements.
Reviews and addresses customer concerns from the Arrowlytics Survey.
Use Arrowlytics to identify clinic opportunities and wins.
In coordination with the Practice Coordinator, tracks all invoices.
