Job Summary
The Mass General Brigham Cancer Institute is seeking an experienced and collaborative Practice Manager to oversee the daily operations of a busy ambulatory practice. In this role, you will lead administrative and clinical support teams, ensure smooth day-to-day operations, and help create an exceptional experience for both patients and staff.
As a key member of the leadership team, you will partner with physicians, clinical leaders, and administrative colleagues to support operational excellence, staff development, and continuous improvement.
Essential Functions
• Lead the daily operations of the practice and ensure efficient workflows.
• Supervise administrative and clinical support staff.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, and coverage to support patient care.
• Recruit, hire, onboard, and develop team members.
• Coach and mentor staff to support performance and career growth.
• Ensure compliance with policies, HIPAA, and required training.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and operational efficiency.
• Monitor practice performance metrics and support ongoing improvements.
• Partner with leadership on budgeting, planning, and resource management.
• Oversee payroll processes and support accurate timekeeping.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve operational goals.
• Provide leadership support and coverage as needed.

Education
Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required

5-7 years supervisory experience required
5-7 years experience working in a healthcare environment required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Office, including Excel.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.

- Ability to work with staff of all levels.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Strong analytical and math skills.
- Knowledge of Accounting Principles, physician billing, and revenue cycle management.
- Ability to adapt to multiple and rapidly changing priorities and deadlines.
