Full Job Description
Practice Administrator - Gastroenterology

The Practice Administrator - Gastroenterology provides operational leadership for a busy, growing Gastroenterology service line spanning five counties. This role requires a strong background in physician practice operations, with prior leadership experience in medical specialty practices required and gastroenterology experience preferred.

The ideal candidate will be highly organized, able to manage multiple sites and priorities, and skilled in supporting physicians, APPs, staff, patient experience, growth initiatives, and overall practice performance in a fast-paced environment.

This role provides management and leadership of assigned practices of varying complexity that support more than 10 assigned practices or more than 20 physicians. Responsibilities include overseeing utilization management and daily business operations, including financial, operational, administrative, and regulatory compliance.

Additionally, the Practice Administrator:

  • Assists the Director, Operations BMG in preparing operating budgets and capital budget requests
  • Supports the setup of new practices and onboarding of new physicians and staff
  • Manages physician departures and office moves/closures
  • Mentors peers
  • Completes special projects as assigned


Minimum Qualifications

Required Experience and Education:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Healthcare or Business; Preferred: Master's Degree
  • 3 years leadership experience in medical group management, healthcare leadership, population health management, or transformation leadership
  • Master's degree in Healthcare or related field preferred
  • Preference given for physician practice-specific health delivery experience
