Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Electronics Engineering or related field
• 5+ years of experience in conventional powertrain development, preferably with Diesel Engines
• Strong understanding of vehicle dynamics and system functioning
• Knowledge of automotive electrical sensors, actuators, and thermal management
• Proficiency with automotive communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN)
• Experience in functional analysis and decomposition
• Familiarity with requirement management tools like IBM Rational DOORs

Responsibilities

• Manage Torque Management Functionality for both conventional and electric powertrains
• Analyze and calculate torque losses and understand torque management for hybrid systems
• Conduct powertrain function analysis and decompose functions as needed
• Gather regulatory and technical requirements related to environmental and electrical parameters
• Create artifacts for propulsion system high-level requirements using IBM DOORS
• Identify and document propulsion system operating modes
• Perform system failure mode and effect analysis for propulsion components
