Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily monitoring and operational routines of power systems including ammonia and steam systems
  • Ensure maintenance of ammonia, CO2, boiler, and steam systems meet standard procedures
  • Perform preventive maintenance and log tasks in SAP
  • Update maintenance documentation regularly
  • Engage in plant meetings, continuous improvement, and maintenance planning
  • Adhere to plant policies regarding safety and environmental standards
  • Complete any additional duties as assigned

Full Job Description
SALARY: The hourly rate for this role is $40.96 per hour. This is a unionized position with progressive yearly increases as per as per CBA:

Year 2027 - $41.00 per hour, Year 2028 - $42.03 per hour, Year 2029 - $43.29 per hour

LOCATION: London Brewery

VACANCY TYPE: This posting reflects a vacant position.

SHIFT: Day shift, Monday - Friday, 8 hours per shift:

  • 7:00am - 3:00pm


On-call responsibilities: Rotates weekly with other Maintenance Engineers upon completion of training and required skill levels. Paid standby.

Overtime Eligibility: This position is eligible for overtime pay in accordance with applicable labour laws and pursuant with collective agreement. Overtime is paid at the legally required rate and may vary based on hours worked beyond the standard schedule. Overtime is paid at 1.5x on Saturdays and 2.0x on Sundays.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Daily rounds and routines pertaining to the operation of a powerhouse including but not limited to Ammonia, Power Generation, Steam, Glycol, Water, Boiler Feedwater Treatment systems.


  • Maintain ammonia, CO2, Boiler and Steam systems in accordance to Standard Operating Procedures


  • Performing preventive maintenance routine and repair completions and logging time (SAP)


  • Maintenance documentation updates


  • Taking ownership of the job by participating in plant meetings, continuous Improvement, and maintenance planning


  • Respect of plant policy (Safety, Environment, Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point)


  • Other duties as required


JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent


  • A Valid 3rd Class Operating Engineering Certificate. May consider 4th class with all 3rd class exams completed within 6 months of qualifying for 3rd class steam time. 4th class maintenance engineers salary are adjusted. 2nd Class Operating Engineers will also be considered, with a pay adjustment made for the higher qualification.


  • 3 years' experience in an industrial setting - manufacturing experience preferred


  • Knowledge and experience with Hydraulic or Pneumatic equipment


  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills


  • Comfortable with a fast-paced environment


  • Self-starter with an ability to work with limited supervision


  • Excellent sense of urgency, work ethic and attendance record


  • High energy and initiative with strong interpersonal skills
