Full Job Description
Job Description: The Field Applications Engineer 6 Power System Validation is responsible for executing validation test plans, ensuring systems meet required specifications, and collaborate closely with FAEs to perform daily power testing. This role requires a strong understanding of validation methodologies, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, proficiency in lab equipment, and the ability to work in a cross-functional team environment. Key responsibilities include: 6 Developing and executing validation test methods, protocols, and reports for verification of requirements on components and systems level. 6 Perform day to day testing include but not limited to steady state ripple, DC loadline, Jitter, transient, bode plot, efficiency, controller telemetry, protection, etc, with common lab equipment such as Oscilloscope, Multimeter, function generator, frequency analyzer, E-load, Slammer, soldering machine, probe (passive, differential, current), etc. 6 Perform system protocol testing including but not limited to Intel VRTT testing, AMD SLDE testing, general slammer testing, etc. 6 Participating in the collection and analysis of validation data with FAE to ensure compliance with customer specifications. 6 Collaborating with FAE to identify and resolve system issues and ensure validations are conducted properly and efficiently. 6 If needed, go with FAE to customer site for onsite validation. 6 Maintaining knowledge of current industry trends and advancements to stay updated on validation principles and practices. 6 Documenting and reporting test results, defects, and resolution steps to ensure reliability and compliance with standards. Requirements: 6 BS/BE or higher in Electrical Engineering or related. 6 4+ years of power electronics component/system level related hands-on experience. 6 Proficient hands-on experience with lab equipment. Including but not limited to Oscilloscope, Multimeter, function generator, frequency analyzer, E-load, Slammer, soldering machine, probe (passive, differential, current), etc. 6 Familiarity with general power electronics testing including but not limited to steady state ripple, DC loadline, Jitter, transient, bode plot, efficiency, controller telemetry, protection, etc, 6 Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions Location: 6 San Jose, CA
