Key Accountabilities
Analyze new and existing power project finance and utility transactions to support sound credit decisions.
Manage ongoing portfolio monitoring, including annual reviews, covenant compliance, risk ratings, and loan modifications.
Prepare credit approvals, financial analyses, and presentation materials for new financing opportunities.
Partner with Relationship Managers, Credit, Risk Management, Legal, and Operations to execute transactions from origination through closing.
Review financial models, market studies, engineering reports, legal documentation, and project contracts to assess transaction risks.
Support client onboarding, including KYC requirements, loan documentation, booking, funding, and closing activities.
Maintain accurate portfolio records, credit files, and internal reporting to ensure compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
Mentor junior analysts and associates by sharing knowledge of credit processes, systems, and best practices.
Education & Experience
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
3+ years of commercial, corporate, commercial real estate, specialized banking, or credit approval experience.
3+ years of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation, if applicable.
Preferred
Experience in power project finance and utility lending.
2+ years of experience analyzing complex credit transactions and financial statements.
2+ years of experience working directly with clients or business partners.
Formal credit training.
Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation or progress toward earning the credential.
