The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking, marketing leadership, exceptional stakeholder management skills, and a strong understanding of B2B and account-based marketing in highly matrixed organizations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sector Marketing Strategy Leadership
  • Develop and lead the annual Power & Utilities marketing strategy and activation plan aligned to sector growth priorities.
  • Serve as the primary marketing advisor to Power & Utilities leadership, bringing market intelligence, buyer insights, and marketing recommendations.
  • Identify, prioritize, and activate the themes most relevant to utility executives and decision-makers.
  • Connect sector priorities to broader Industrials & Energy and EY enterprise narratives.

2. Thought Leadership and Market Positioning
  • Partner with subject matter resources and sector leaders to identify thought leadership opportunities that elevate EY's voice in the market.
  • Guide the creation of articles, research, executive perspectives, videos, client stories, case studies, web content, and campaign assets.
  • Develop messaging that clearly articulates EY's differentiated value across utility transformation, technology modernization, infrastructure investment, and operational excellence.
  • Ensure consistency of messaging across all channels and activations.

3. Account-Based Marketing and Client Engagement
  • Lead sector-specific account-based marketing initiatives targeting priority accounts and strategic growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with account teams to create tailored marketing programs that support relationship development and revenue growth.
  • Translate sector priorities into named-account campaigns, executive engagement opportunities, and strategic client experiences.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage sector content, insights, and campaigns in priority client pursuits.

4. Campaign and Activation Leadership
  • Design and oversee integrated, multi-channel marketing programs that utilize events, sponsorships, digital marketing, social media, PR, email, and sales enablement.
  • Lead sector presence and activations across key industry conferences, utility events, and executive forums.
  • Manage the development of flagship client experiences, executive roundtables, thought leadership launches, and sector campaigns.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure flawless execution and measurable business impact.

5. Stakeholder Management and Collaboration
  • Build strong relationships across sector leadership, service lines, alliances, account teams, and marketing functions.
  • Influence and align diverse stakeholder groups in a highly matrixed environment.
  • Collaborate with global sector marketing teams to leverage and adapt global assets and campaigns.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and connector across the Industrials & Energy ecosystem.

6. Performance Measurement and Optimization
  • Define campaign objectives, key performance indicators, and success measures.
  • Evaluate marketing effectiveness using data, analytics, and stakeholder feedback.
  • Provide regular reporting and recommendations to optimize investments and improve outcomes.
  • Demonstrate the impact of marketing activities on brand, relationships, and growth objectives.

Skills and attributes for success
  • Strong understanding of B2B marketing, integrated marketing strategy, and account-based marketing.
  • Experience building and executing multi-channel marketing campaigns and executive-level activations.
