Key Responsibilities - Lead crews in meeting all HSE and safety expectations.
- Oversee daily scope execution and assign tasks.
- Support technical decision making , quality control, test data review, and project turnover.
- Review FLHAs and permits daily.
- Coordinate offsite and overtime requests.
- Work with coordinators to ensure scopes are clearly communicated to the team.
- Submit and approve daily timesheets.
- Conduct walkdowns with SMEs before, during, and prior to energization.
- Complete crew competency reviews with the superintendent.
- Track daily equipment usage and ensure compliance with Stuart Olson and client policies.
- Perform e Compliance tasks, weekly inspections, and monthly focus inspections.
- Participate in lessons learned and pre - job checklist activities.
- Ensure Daily Activity Reports are completed and submitted .
- Represent crew feedback to leadership and mediate conflicts.
- Ensure crew members are trained, competent, or properly mentored.
- Assist with incident response, hazard mitigation, reporting, and post i ncident investigations.
Qualifications - Certified as an Electrical Engineering Technologist, Electrical Engineer, Power Systems Electrician or Journeyman Electrician
- 5+ years' experience in Electrical Commissioning and Maintenance
- Registration with applicable Professional Association in good standing
- Strong working knowledge of various IED models from manufacturers such as SEL, GE Multilin , Siemens, ABB, Alstom etc.
- Knowledge of formal Management of Change (MOC) processes
- Participate in ILP investigations, HAZOPS and Job Safety Analysis
- Ability to forge, grow and maintain positive relationships
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet the time demands of unpredictable activities; capable of handling pressure and challenges
- Ability to work within tight deadlines and prioritization of work to achieve them
- Strong critical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrates a sense of urgency and strong commitment to achieving goals; ability to work in challenging, fast paced environment
- A valid driver's license and clean driver's abstract
- Pre-employment A&D test required
