Job Description Summary
We are seeking a talented Power Systems Services Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of digital transformation for the energy sector, developing and delivering advanced software solutions that empower Electric Utilities, ISOs, and grid operators to maintain resilient, efficient, and reliable power networks.

You will own the technical delivery of critical functions throughout the entire project lifecycle-from initial functional specifications and design to coding, testing, integration, and final deployment. You won't just be a developer; you will be a strategic partner to our clients, translating complex technical needs into robust, high-performance software applications that define the future of Grid Management.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the implementation of MES solutions utilizing the Software Suite SCADA, ADMS, DNAF and OMS. Own technical deliverables during the entire lifecycle of the projects. Engage throughout the full lifecycle of assigned projects, participating in decisions on architecture, design, and functionality to keep programs on track in terms of budget, time, and customer expectations.
  • Work closely with the client to understand their needs and develop strategies tailored to their organization through site assessments. Also make standard recommendations on workflow, application, interface, reports, testing and uploads to customers through the implementation process.
  • Is responsible for go-live readiness and support as well as post-live checkups and will be required to work collaboratively with internal team members and clients to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Act as a member in Software Center of Excellence, representing the face of high-quality design and development practices. Implement new functionalities in power system application software which includes DMS (Distribution Management System), DTS (Dispatcher Training Simulator) and Modeling (EMS/DTS/Oil and Gas and Distribution) applications.
  • A job at this level requires good interpersonal skills and may be required to lead a junior team. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Explains technical information to others.


Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Power Systems or in "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) plus at least two (2) years development or project delivery experience in related field or
  • Master's Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or in "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)


Desired Characteristics
  • Work and/or academic experience in the power systems area.
  • Excellent programming skills in C++, Java or other related language, as required. Knowledge on Perl, PowerShell and SQL (MSSQL and/or T-SQL) scripting
  • Knowledge and experience with electric utility industry practices
  • Strong knowledge of customer perspective and needs.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.


Relocation Assistance Provided: Yes

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $83,300.00 and $124,900.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
