Full Job Description
Ensure the safety of employees who work in low, medium, and high voltage work environments. Ensure strict compliance with safety policies, train and implement safety programs. Ensure safety equipment resources are available and properly tested, and act as a safety liaison with customers. Act as sales and marketing agent in partnership with sales engineers to help drive sales in the consulting and engineering business. Identify and develop prospective new customers. Keep current on the trends and significant issues in the local marketplace, providing direction for the strategic planning process. Maintain effective relationships with and service to customers. Facilitate teaming with other districts to support multi-district customers and/or industries. Provide input to profit plan and monthly forecasts with accuracy so that the operation meets these goals on a regular basis. Lead the efficient execution of projects, execute sales quotes, cost control, leveraging subcontractors, inventory management, and turn of backlog and projects. Build an effective and skilled team through successful recruiting, assessment of talent, training and development, goal setting, communications, performance appraisal, and conformance to applicable company policies. Provide leadership and direction to ensure professional growth for employees and retention within the operation. Act as a technical mentor and back up for the engineering team. Provide front line support for engineering staff on technical questions, sales and negotiation questions, project management matters, and commercial issues. Effectively manage diverse and dispersed field-based workforce in assigned geographic territory, which includes multiple office locations. Assure the security and effective allocation of company resources and assets. Act as the lead communicator with customers, district operations, general sales force, manufacturing plants, product division management, and functional support staff. Manage escalation procedures in accordance with our 24/7 service business. Position is fixed location based in Wilsonville, OR office; however, telecommuting from a home office location may also be allowed. Up to 15% domestic travel for recruiting, internal meetings, conferences, team development, customer training, business development, and conducting safety observations. 40 hours/week, 9:00am-5:00pm. Qualifications: Requires a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a directly related field plus seven (7) years of experience working in service of an engineering unit. Experience must include: Seven (7) years of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently): Power distribution and power systems engineering practices and procedures. Product applications and meeting customer needs. Two (2) years of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently): Developing and maintaining customer relationships and resolving complaints. Marketing and business planning. Market channel relationships and processes. One (1) year of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently): People leadership and understanding of a fiscal entity and basic financial processes, including forecasting, profit tracking, and financial compliance. Accounting principles and Profit and Loss. Demand flow production concepts. 40 hours/week, 9:00am-5:00pm, Salary: $169,000.00 - $179,000.00 /year. All positions may require participation in video and in-person interviews as part of the hiring process.
