Overview

We are designing the grid of the future! 

Responsibilities

 

How you can make an impact:

  • Perform and lead Generation Integration and load Interconnection studies within the Western Electricity Coordinating Council (WECC) footprint
  • Identify optimal strategy for project interconnection to the grid based on system impacts and assessing grid capacity.
  • Work on interconnection projects, including modeling, due diligence, interconnection analysis.
  • Create and validate PSSE, PSLF and PSCAD models for renewable generation: Solar PV, BESS, Wind.
  • It is a plus if the candidate is able to perform specialized studies of the power grid, such as Sub-synchronous Resonance studies, protection coordination studies, arc flash studies, transient overvoltage (TOV) studies.
  • Contribute to Knowledge base of the organization and development of innovative study approaches/techniques.
  • Attend and participate in meetings and conferences on engineering and technical issues and report key findings.
