OverviewWe are designing the grid of the future!
Responsibilities
How you can make an impact:
- Perform and lead Generation Integration and load Interconnection studies within the Western Electricity Coordinating Council (WECC) footprint
- Identify optimal strategy for project interconnection to the grid based on system impacts and assessing grid capacity.
- Work on interconnection projects, including modeling, due diligence, interconnection analysis.
- Create and validate PSSE, PSLF and PSCAD models for renewable generation: Solar PV, BESS, Wind.
- It is a plus if the candidate is able to perform specialized studies of the power grid, such as Sub-synchronous Resonance studies, protection coordination studies, arc flash studies, transient overvoltage (TOV) studies.
- Contribute to Knowledge base of the organization and development of innovative study approaches/techniques.
- Attend and participate in meetings and conferences on engineering and technical issues and report key findings.
