Power Supply Contract Administrator Senior

$88,000 - $110,000 | Hybrid with in-person reporting to Duluth, MN

What You'll Do
  • Support the full lifecycle of power supply contracting, by assisting in development of commercial terms, preparing RFPs, evaluating bids, facilitating contracts and negotiations, resolving issues, guiding contract selection, and onboarding agreements.
  • Ensure consistent terminology, documentation, and processes for complex power supply agreements-covering wind, solar, battery storage, natural gas resources, and other power supply resources as needed.
  • Secure the best economic value for power supply resources while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. Assist with preparing regulatory filings and support onboarding, monitoring, and reporting on agreement performance.
  • Monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with power supply agreements by collecting and validating key data. Work with suppliers and internal teams to address issues, make necessary contract changes, and negotiate fair solutions when problems arise.
  • Contribute to market sensing to identify potential suppliers and projects for Minnesota Power.
  • Operate with minimal supervision, providing guidance to colleagues across departments as needed.
  • Demonstrate strong facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills, while upholding honesty, integrity, and respectful collaboration. Be visible and accessible to users of the power supply agreements, including management.


What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree required; preferably in business administration, accounting, economics, finance, engineering or equivalent AND eight years of related experience required. Experience in power supply contracting preferred.
  • Proficiency in power supply contract key terms


COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
  • The expected annual compensation range for this position is $88,000 - $110,000. Compensation offered to the selected candidate will vary depending on relevant knowledge, skills, training, experience, and market conditions.
