Power Solutions Project ManagerPosition SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Power Solutions Project Manager to support the planning, deployment, and execution of critical power infrastructure projects across a large-scale operational network. This role will oversee multiple concurrent projects involving utility upgrades, generator installations, switchgear deployments, permitting, procurement, and commissioning activities. The ideal candidate combines strong technical knowledge of electrical power systems with proven project management experience and the ability to drive results across complex stakeholder environments.
Key Responsibilities- Manage multiple concurrent power infrastructure projects from feasibility through commissioning and handoff.
- Coordinate utility upgrades, power generation deployments, switchgear installations, and electrical infrastructure improvements.
- Own project schedules, budgets, risk management, status reporting, and stakeholder communications.
- Lead switchgear procurement activities, including vendor coordination, delivery tracking, specification review, and factory acceptance testing.
- Manage permitting activities, regulatory approvals, and environmental compliance requirements.
- Review electrical designs, single-line diagrams, load calculations, and power distribution plans.
- Coordinate contractors, consultants, vendors, utility providers, and internal stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Identify and resolve project risks, schedule impacts, and critical path issues.
- Travel to project sites during installation, testing, startup, and commissioning phases.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Energy Systems, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience managing electrical infrastructure, power generation, utility, or energy-related projects.
- Experience leading multiple large-scale projects simultaneously.
- Strong knowledge of switchgear, transformers, generators, utility interconnections, and power distribution systems.
- Experience managing permitting processes, regulatory compliance, and vendor relationships.
- Proven ability to lead contractors, consultants, and cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency with project management tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, Asana, or similar platforms.
Preferred Qualifications- PMP, PE, OSHA 30, or related certifications.
- Experience supporting industrial, logistics, mission-critical, or large-scale infrastructure facilities.
- Knowledge of natural gas systems, environmental permitting, and power system commissioning.
