Power Generation Technical Trainer

Location: Butler, Wisconsin
Company: Interstate Companies, Inc.
Pay Range: $100,000-$110,000 Annually
Employment Type: Full-Time

This role is responsible for delivering and developing technical training programs that enhance the skills, knowledge, and performance of employees, customers, and business partners across the Interstate organization.

What You'll Do
  • Develop and deliver power generation and electrical technical training at Interstate training centers in Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Montana.
  • Plan and coordinate training schedules to support manufacturer certification requirements and business needs.
  • Partner with internal teams and OEM manufacturers to ensure compliance with technical training standards.
  • Conduct product familiarization and technical education sessions for employees and customers.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to Interstate branches and service teams.
  • Assist in the development, enhancement, and evaluation of training curriculum and learning materials.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence throughout the organization.

What We're Looking For
  • Strong leadership and presentation skills with the ability to engage and instruct groups of 20 or more participants.
  • Experience developing technical training programs and measuring training effectiveness preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of power generation equipment, including generators, transfer switches, power distribution equipment, electronics, electrical systems, engine controls, and troubleshooting.
  • Self-motivated professional who can work independently and effectively in a collaborative environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
