OverviewThe Ray Lab at Benaroya Research Institute (BRI) is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Associate to join our collaborative research team. Under the general supervision of the Principal Investigator, the successful candidate will conduct semi-independent to independent biomedical research focused on advancing our understanding of immune mechanisms in human disease. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to innovative translational research while collaborating closely with investigators across BRI and the University of Washington.
Responsibilities
- Design, execute, and manage experimental research projects aligned with laboratory objectives.
- Document, analyze, interpret, and present experimental data for scientific publications and presentations.
- Contribute to the preparation, writing, revision, and submission of manuscripts to peer-reviewed scientific journals.
- Conduct comprehensive literature reviews and remain current with advances in relevant scientific fields.
- Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain specialized laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
- Collaborate with investigators and research staff at BRI and the University of Washington to develop experimental approaches, troubleshoot studies, and interpret findings.
- Assist in the preparation of research grant proposals and contract applications to support ongoing and future projects.
- Provide scientific guidance and oversight for technician-led projects and contribute to a collaborative laboratory environment.
- Maintain accurate research records and adhere to institutional policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Ph.D. in Immunology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biomedical Sciences, or a closely related field.
Compensation
$80,182- $83,000per year;depending on years of postdoctoral experience.
