Post-Acute Care Provider Clinical Educator
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
- Developing and facilitating clinical orientation and onboarding programs for new providers
- Delivering ongoing clinical education to physicians and or advanced practice providers across the organization's skilled nursing and post-acute and long-term care facilities
- Managing and maintaining our Learning Management System (LMS), including course builds, user enrollment, completion tracking, and reporting
- Partnering with operations and clinical leadership to identify training needs and performance gaps
- Ensuring compliance with CMS regulations and clinical best practices specific to skilled nursing and post-acute and long-term care facilities
- Supporting quality improvement initiatives through targeted education
- Maintaining up-to-date training materials, competency assessments, and documentation
- Teaching providers CPT E/M code selection and documentation under the updated and revised AMA guidelines
- Educating providers on billing for Advanced Care Planning and other time-based codes
- Serving as the clinical point of contact for providers following completion of clinical onboarding through LMS training modules, providing real-time answers to scenariobased clinical and regulatory questions
- Monitoring updates to CMS regulations, AMA coding guidelines, and SNF-specific requirements and flagging those updates for curriculum revision
- 10% Travel
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Active Nurse Practitioner licensure; FNP, Adult, or Geriatric certification preferred
- Minimum 3 years of clinical practice experience as a rendering provider in a SNF or post-acute and long-term care setting
- Demonstrated ability to educate and train physicians and or advanced practice providers on clinical documentation, regulatory requirements, and billing practices in the post-acute care setting
- Familiarity with a Learning Management System (LMS) and ability to build, organize, and report on digital learning content
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences
- Ability to travel regionally to facility locations as needed
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently across a multi-site environment
- Direct experience as a rendering provider in a skilled nursing or long-term care facility is required.
- Working knowledge of CPT E/M coding guidelines and SNF-specific documentation and regulatory standards
