POSITION SUMMARY:

The Portfolio Value Manager leads the portfolio value management function by ensuring enterprise initiatives are aligned to measurable business outcomes, value targets, and financial performance expectations. This role develops and executes value management frameworks, forecasting methodologies, and benefit realization processes that provide leadership with clear insights into portfolio performance, investment effectiveness, and value creation across the enterprise portfolio.

Working closely with Finance, Business Planning & Analysis, initiative owners, and portfolio leaders, the Manager oversees value tracking, business case validation, and benefit realization reporting to ensure portfolio commitments are achieved. The role identifies value risks and forecast variances, provides decision-support recommendations on priority investments, and promotes consistent value management practices that strengthen accountability, transparency, and confidence in portfolio outcomes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead the portfolio value management function for enterprise initiatives by translating strategic priorities into value targets, forecasts, performance measures, and value-realization expectations that support portfolio objectives and business outcomes.
  • Establish and maintain value management frameworks, operating routines, reporting expectations, and performance measures that provide a consistent approach to value tracking, forecasting, and realization across the portfolio.
  • Partner with Finance, Business Planning & Analysis (BP&A), business workstreams, and initiative owners to validate business case assumptions, financial impacts, value baselines, forecast updates, realized benefits, and accountability for results.
  • Oversee portfolio value tracking and reporting processes to ensure value delivery, forecast performance, business case assumptions, and benefit realization are accurately measured, monitored, and communicated to stakeholders.
  • Identify, assess, and communicate value gaps, forecast variances, business case risks, and realization challenges that may impact portfolio commitments, investment outcomes, or prioritization decisions.
  • Provide decision-support analysis and recommendations to portfolio leadership regarding initiative prioritization, sequencing, acceleration, pause, continuation, or reallocation decisions to optimize portfolio value and business outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain value management controls, standards, methodologies, and reporting practices that enhance transparency, consistency, accountability, and confidence in portfolio value reporting.
  • Provide technical leadership, coaching, and guidance to professional staff and cross-functional stakeholders on value tracking, business case evaluation, forecasting methodologies, benefits realization practices, and portfolio value management expectations.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Strategy, Operations, or a related field required.
  • Five (5) years of relevant experience in business planning, finance, value management, benefit realization, business case development, portfolio management, project governance, or a related field required.
  • Proven experience in financial forecasting, business planning, and scenario modeling in related industries is preferred.
  • High level of proficiency in MS Office applications is required, with priority on Excel. Power BI experience is a plus.
  • Proficient with creating and presenting to senior leaders is preferred.
