About the RoleThis individual will report to the Director of Portfolio Implementation and will work closely with our global equity and alpha strategies investment teams. This Portfolio Specialist position will be located in Boston.
About the TeamThe Trading Department is a centralized, globally integrated team dedicated to achieving best execution across markets worldwide. Specialized trading teams work closely with portfolio managers and analysts, playing a critical role in investment decision-making and alpha generation. Supported by deep market expertise, strong industry relationships, and advanced technology, the team delivers valuable market insights and execution capabilities. Portfolio Specialists and the Trading Risk Management team help ensure efficient trade implementation and effective risk oversight.
Job Responsibilities- Facilitate the implementation of investment strategy: order creation through allocation.
- Play a key role in the implementation of technology and system enhancements: including, testing new functionality, troubleshooting issues and aiding in the coordination of updates
- Determine appropriate accounts and allocation of trades within defined client guidelines and investment objectives.
- Oversee execution of trade ideas approved by product team by working with traders to communicate investment strategy and needs.
- Monitor accounts for guideline violations and facilitate guideline resolutions by acting as liaison between compliance, client service and portfolio management teams.
- Provide analytical support for accounts for which the individual is responsible. This will include portfolio construction, dispersion, cash management, etc.
- Participate in meetings with clients, consultants, and new business prospects as needed.
Qualifications & Education Requirements- Minimum of 3 - 5 years of industry experience
- Bachelor's degree with MBA or CFA preferred
- In-depth knowledge of fixed income markets
- Strong analytical and excel skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Excellent communication skills
- Keen understanding of investment process, portfolio construction and asset allocation
Additional RequirementsThe position follows a hybrid schedule with two days work from home and three days work from office.
Loomis Sayles is committed to offering competitive and equitable compensation. The salary range for this position is $110,000 - $150,000 USD. Your starting salary will be based on your experience, skills, qualifications and local benchmarking. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual incentive award, which is based on individual and company performance.
