Full Job Description
*This role is aligned to the Diamond Infrastructure Solutions ("Diamond Infra") company and will be seconded from Dow to Diamond Infrastructure Solutions until January 1, 2027. At that time, the role will become directly aligned to the Diamond Infrastructure Solutions Company. * About this role Diamond Infrastructure Solutions has an exciting job opportunity as a Portfolio Manager. This role provides a unique opportunity to directly influence Diamond's Energy business by supporting existing Tenant contracts, participate in the development of new Tenants opportunities, and by participating in defining the strategy for Diamond's Energy services and assets. Diamond provides site services to site tenants and fence line partners at 5 sites located on the US Gulf Coast. The Portfolio Manager role provides a focal point for interaction between Diamond's Business Development group, the functional Tech Centers, Energy Commercial Managers, and the associated operational leaders at Diamond's sites. Responsibilities • Utilize financial acumen to develop and update pricing formulas, using historical accounting and operational information considering the next best alternative and balancing service pricing with overall project value/impact. • Retrieve, organize, and consolidate historical service delivery costs that are applicable using ECC/DSR; • Validate historical service delivery costs used as a basis for pricing; • Adjust, as needed, historical service delivery costs to account for non-routine or abnormal cost variances; • Determine when Next Best Alternative, or market-based pricing. • Develop the contractual requirements associated with each service provided to, or received from, potential new tenants. • Work with the functions and site operations contacts to validate data used in establishing service quantity commitments (Contract Quantities) included in site service agreements for new tenants. • Monitor service financial performance to ensure revenue and margins are aligned with those anticipated when service pricing was established. Investigate and initiate resolution for cases of inadequate margin performance. • Provide support for issue resolution during the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities. • In coordination with the contract managers, support annual budgeting and annual/monthly forecasting for tenant and fence line partner service consumption. • Establish and maintain best practices for all aspects of the portfolios, including implementation, contract language, and pricing strategies. • In collaboration with the Business Development team, lead the technical feasibility, scoping and development of service offering • In collaboration with Contract Management, identify improvements to existing services or opportunities for new services with existing tenants • In collaboration with Operations and the Tech Center, participate in the development and maintenance of the asset strategies considering: • The trends in the industry • New technologies or improvements • Existing and future service needs (volumes, quality, specification, etc.) • Unmet tenant needs Required Qualifications • A minimum of a bachelor's degree or relevant military experience at an E6 rank/Petty Officer 2nd Class or higher. MBA preferred. • A minimum of 6 years of engineering, manufacturing or relevant experience is required. • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process. Preferred Qualifications • Strong financial acumen with understanding of historical costs and activity-based pricing. • Familiarity / experience with the structure, language, and/or administration of contracts. • Familiarity and functional knowledge of, and experience in, Dow site functions such as Energy, Environmental Operations, Site Logistics, EH&S, ES&S, Site Infrastructure, Maintenance, and Analytical Your Skills • Communication: Professional communication, encompasses written, oral, visual and digital communication within a workplace context. • Technical Leadership: Technical leadership refers to guiding and influencing a team or project through expertise, decision-making, and mentorship. It involves setting technical direction and fostering collaboration. • Financial Acumen: Financial Acumen is a critical skill that refers to the ability to comprehend and apply financial knowledge and insights to make informed decisions. It's the understanding of the financial effects and relationships of various aspects of your business • Strategic Planning: Strategic planning is an organization's process of defining its strategy, or direction, and making decisions on allocating its resources to pursue this strategy. • Business Process Improvements: Business process management (BPM) is the discipline in which people use various methods to discover, model, analyze, measure, improve, optimize, and automate business processes. Any combination of methods used to manage a company's business processes is BPM. Processes can be structured and repeatable or unstructured and variable. Though not required, enabling technologies are often used with BPM.
