Join Associated Bank's Power & Utilities team and help manage a specialized portfolio of power project finance and utility client relationships. In this role, you'll analyze credit opportunities, support client relationships, and help drive sound lending decisions while building expertise in a growing industry. You'll collaborate with experienced banking professionals and gain opportunities to expand your credit and portfolio management skills.
Key Accountabilities- Manage the credit quality and ongoing portfolio administration for Power & Utilities client relationships.
- Analyze financial statements, cash flow, and credit risk to evaluate new and existing lending opportunities.
- Prepare clear, comprehensive credit analyses, presentations, and recommendations for approval committees.
- Partner with Relationship Managers to support client needs and deliver exceptional service throughout the lending process.
- Monitor existing transactions, identify emerging risks, and recommend appropriate actions.
- Support loan documentation, credit administration, due diligence, amendments, waivers, and portfolio reporting.
- Develop industry knowledge by tracking market trends and maintaining expertise in the power and utilities sector.
Education & ExperienceRequired- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 1+ years of commercial, corporate, commercial real estate, specialized banking, or credit approval experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation, if applicable.
Preferred- Experience in power project finance or utility lending.
- 1+ years of experience analyzing complex credit transactions.
- 1+ years of client-facing or relationship management experience.
- Formal credit training.
- Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation or progress toward earning the designation.
