The Opportunity:The Portfolio Manager, Lab Consumables will be responsibility for VWR supplier brand consumable product portfolio performance, development & execution of portfolio strategy, new product introductions and portfolio improvement projects.
What we’re looking for:
- Education: Bachelor's degree required. Master´s degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a commercial, technical, portfolio, category or product management role within the laboratory products or life science products
- Experience of identifying and developing business growth opportunities towards the delivery of profitable growth

How you will thrive and create an impact:
- Responsibility for portfolio financial performance (revenue, GM and GM expansion). Critical thinking and report-outs to support communication of performance to key business stakeholders.
- Development of growth plans and new product pipeline for new Lab Consumables products backed by solid customer needs and market analytics data to support new product development
- Development of positioning and pricing strategy for existing and new Lab Consumables portfolios.
- Responsibility for the development and commercialization of Lab Consumables new products. Responsibilities include business case development, ownership of product development, new product pricing, product onboarding, inventory strategy, go to market plan and coordination of training and market introduction activities.
- Work closely with and provide support to key stakeholders in sales, marketing and operational functions to achieve growth targets for Lab Consumables products
- Work with strategic sourcing to develop and implement portfolio productivity and cost improvement initiatives to drive margin expansion.
- Work with strategic sourcing to develop key strategic supplier strategies and relationships.
- Responsibility for problem solving within portfolio using Avantor problem solving tools.

Pay Transparency:
The expected pre-tax pay for this position is
$107,500.00 - $173,075.00
Actual pay may differ depending on relevant factors such as prior experience and geographic location.
