Full Job Description
The Portfolio Manager-Business Banking will perform credit underwriting related to requests for renewals, modifications, changes in terms, credit reviews and reaffirmations for the Business Banking and Small Business Banking credit portfolios

How you'll spend your time:
  • Perform spreading company financial statements and tax returns.
  • Analyze financial statements, personal financial statements, and performance metrics for explanation of variances, to identify trends, and to address a credit strategy appropriate for the credit risk.
  • Present solutions to credit structure, covenants, financial reporting requirements and other credit conditions to the Portfolio Manager.
  • Provide specialized risk guidance and advice on existing portfolio of watch list credits across a multi-state geographical footprint.
  • Secure financial information and test covenants requirements.
  • Provide timely client follow up and ensure that loan servicing actions, such as past due payment collections, demand letters, law suits, and liquidations are properly administered.
  • May perform site visits if needed.
  • Address complaints successfully, resolve documentation exceptions and covenant requirement violations.

  • 1+ year in Business Loan experience (up to $5MM)
  • 1+ year credit analysis experience
  • Demonstrates credit decision making skills and ability

  • Demonstrates excellent verbal and interpersonal skills to communicate with sales force and credit managers

  • Demonstrates proficiency of Excel, and Word to create tables and worksheets for credit memos


Bonus Points if you have:
  • Previous Business Loan collections experience
  • 2 years Business Loan credit underwriting
  • SBA program knowledge
  • Knowledge of Capital Stream, FIS/BIS,
  • Knowledge of SOP for SBA guaranteed loans
  • An aptitude to think strategically and envision future state of the portfolio

Compensation Range:
