Full Job Description
In this role, you'll manage a portfolio of commercial banking relationships by supporting credit decisions, monitoring risk, and strengthening client relationships. You'll work closely with Relationship Managers and internal partners to grow loans, deposits, fee income, and referrals while building valuable commercial banking expertise.

Key Accountabilities
  • Analyze financial information and loan requests to assess credit quality and recommend appropriate structures.
  • Manage portfolio risk and ensure relationships follow bank policies, procedures, business strategies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor borrower financial performance, loan repayment activity, renewals, and overall credit quality.
  • Partner with Relationship Managers to serve clients, support new business opportunities, and strengthen existing relationships.
  • Coordinate due diligence and credit analysis for new relationships and prepare materials for the loan approval process.
  • Identify opportunities to connect clients with Treasury Management, Private Banking, Capital Markets, and other bank solutions.
  • Support collection efforts and take appropriate action when accounts become past due or repayment concerns arise.
  • Represent Associated Bank in community and business activities that strengthen its presence in the local market.


Education & Experience

Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Less than 2 years of experience in Commercial/Corporate Banking, Commercial Real Estate, Specialized Banking, or Credit Approval.
  • Reliable transportation and the ability to lawfully drive, if applicable, by the start date.


Preferred
  • Less than 2 years of experience handling complex credits.
  • Less than 2 years of sales experience.
  • Less than 2 years of formal credit training.
  • CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) certification by the start date.
