The Aerospace Corporation is hiring a Portfolio Architect & Enterprise Systems Engineer for the Portfolio Analysis Department (PAD) in the Enterprise Effects Division (EED). This is an onsite opportunity inChantilly, Virginia.

The Enterprise Effects Division (EED) drives integration of Aerospace27s strategic capabilities across the national space enterprise. The divisionleveragesa broad array of engineering disciplines against a wide-ranging and dynamic portfolio of programs, customers, and national challenges.EEDspans the capability lifecycle from concept and architecture design to performance assessment to application of space and space-enabled capabilities.

As part of the Enterprise Design Subdivision (EDS), the Portfolio Analysis Department (PAD) drives responsive and comprehensive trades in customer portfolios. Working closely with corporate program offices,PAD delivers portfolio decision insights that expand options for senior leaders and accelerates delivery of end effects. PAD integratesexpertise, systemanalysisand design capabilities from across the corporation. We are looking for anexperiencedPortfolio Architect & Enterprise Systems Engineerto support avarietyeast coastgovernmentcustomers.

WhatYou27llBe Doing

  • Provide enterprise engineering and analytical support to governmentintelligence communitycustomersinportfolio management,digitalengineering,andsystem-of-systems engineering

  • Engagedirectly with Aerospace program office personnel as well as government customers

  • Support the deployment or implementation of existing tools, models,and frameworks

  • Identifynew capabilities and enhancements that will better support the customerprograms andarchitectures

  • Initiate studies designed to solvecomplexproblems and provide newandinnovativetechnical solutions

  • Take initiative to inform management of perceived technical problems and recommend courses of action

  • Utilize Aerospace resources, teams, andexpertiseon the effective use of MBSE methodologies, modeling languages, and tools

  • Initiateand leadstudies designed to solve technical problemstoprovide recommendations to the customer

  • Leverage Aerospace27s technicalbackplaneto provide tailored,technical support and innovative solutions for customer-specific use cases

  • Provide ongoing technical consultation and advice to management, customers, and contractors

  • Provide mentoring andoversight toearly career staff,as necessary

  • Occasional travel may berequired

What You Need to be Successful

MinimumRequirements for theSenior Member of the Technical Staff

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, science, or other related technical discipline

  • Typically,at least 4yearsof increasingly responsible experienceinsystems engineering or related engineering disciplines

  • Experience in systems engineering, systems engineering, model-based systems engineering, and/or digital engineering

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects

  • Take initiative, have flexibility, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and well adept at oral and written communication

  • Familiaritywith MBSE modeling languagessuch as System Modeling Language(SysML)and toolssuch as Cameo Systems Modeler andSparXEnterprise Architecture

  • Familiaritywith architecture frameworks such as the Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) or the Unified Architecture Framework (UAF)

  • Take initiative,haveflexibility,andbe ableto work in a fast-paced environment

  • Active TSsecurity clearanceor Q security clearance

  • Available and willing to travel domestically,approx. 5-10%

How You Can Stand Out

It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:

  • Advanced degree in engineering, mathematics, science, or other related technical discipline

  • Demonstrated leadership of broad multidisciplinary teams conducting technical evaluations of complex systems; cost,scheduleand risk analysis; portfolio-level trade studies; and requirements development

  • Experience with and/or working knowledge of the Aerospace Engineering and Technology Group (ETG) span of technical capabilities and organizational construct

  • Experience with Intelligence Community systems engineering and programmatic processes, methods, tools, and personnel

  • Experience briefing senior Government leaders (General Officer and/or SES/SIS)

Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.
