The Opportunity

Leavitt Machinery is looking for an experienced Port & Intermodal Product Manager to join our team in Coquitlam, British Columbia. As the Port & Intermodal Product Manager you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, new account acquisition, and margin discipline across Leavitt Machinery's Port & Intermodal equipment portfolio in British Columbia and Alberta.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

As the Port & Intermodal Product Manager your key responsibilities will include:
  • Drive new business development and build/execute a strategy across your assigned territory
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new accounts by conducting direct prospecting, customer visits, and presentations to secure equipment orders
  • Lead strategic account management initiatives to expand share of wallet with key customers
  • Own all stages of the sales process from prospecting to post-sale follow-up maintaining proper CRM management
  • Collaborate with Parts, Service, Training, Leasing, Sales Coordinators, Territory Reps, and leadership to ensure customer needs are met
  • Provide input on equipment inventory metrics for Port & Intermodal market within Canada
  • Deliver accurate sales forecasts and provide senior leadership with visibility into revenue and market share progress
  • Conduct regular pipeline reviews and opportunity audits to ensure accuracy and execution
  • Implement annual Territory Sales Plans and ensure quarterly/annual targets are met or exceeded

Required Skills & Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies:
  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience, with a focus on business development
  • Intermodal, port, rail, transportation and/or logistics experience is a strong asset
  • Proven track record of direct sales success in a capital equipment, ideally within the port, intermodal, logistics, or heavy equipment industries
  • Post secondary degree in a related discipline
  • Prior Microsoft 365 CRM experience an asset
  • Strong communication skills
  • Coachable and team-oriented

The base pay for this role is: $70,000 annually plus an initial bridge salary and uncapped commission. On-Target Earnings for year one are estimated between $125,000 and $175,000.

This is an onsite role based in Coquitlam, British Columbia.
