Quantam Solutions LLC is a trusted provider of specialized staffing solutions to government agencies and organizations requiring high-clearance, mission-critical expertise. We are seeking a Government-Certified Polygraph Examiner to conduct pre-employment, periodic, and investigative polygraph examinations in support of sensitive government operations in the Maryland, Virginia, and Washington D.C. region.

Position Overview

The Polygraph Examiner will be responsible for administering and interpreting polygraph tests for personnel requiring security clearances or involved in sensitive investigations. This role requires current government certification, a strong understanding of security protocols, and the ability to handle classified and sensitive information in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct pre-employment, counterintelligence, lifestyle, and specific-issue polygraph examinations in accordance with federal guidelines and agency protocols.
  • Prepare, calibrate, and operate polygraph instruments in secure environments.
  • Develop and administer appropriate question sets tailored to the scope of the examination.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret physiological data to determine truthfulness and/or deception.
  • Document examination results and prepare detailed, accurate written reports for agency review.
  • Maintain strict chain-of-custody and security protocols for all examination materials.
  • Conduct pre-test interviews to establish rapport, explain procedures, and assess examinee suitability.
  • Conduct post-test interviews to clarify responses and address discrepancies.
  • Stay current with advancements in polygraph technology, federal testing guidelines, and ethical standards.
  • Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local laws, as well as security clearance requirements.


Qualifications

Required:

  • Current Federal Government Polygraph Examiner Certification (e.g., Department of Defense Polygraph Institute / National Center for Credibility Assessment certification).
  • Active U.S. Government Security Clearance (TS/SCI with polygraph preferred; must be able to obtain and maintain clearance if not currently active).
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience conducting polygraph examinations for a government agency.
  • Thorough knowledge of polygraph testing methodologies, countermeasure detection, and credibility assessment techniques.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise, and legally sound reports.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain neutrality during high-stress examinations.
  • Ability to travel within Maryland, Virginia, and Washington D.C. as required.


Preferred:

  • Experience supporting federal law enforcement, intelligence, or counterintelligence agencies.
  • Training in forensic interviewing, advanced interrogation, or behavioral analysis.
  • Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, psychology, security studies, or related field.
  • Proficiency in digital data management and secure communications systems.


Work Environment & Travel

  • Examinations will be conducted in secure facilities within Maryland, Virginia, and Washington D.C.
  • Some remote reporting and administrative work may be permitted, but examinations must be performed on-site.
  • Regional travel required; travel expenses reimbursed per company policy.
