Full Job Description
Title:
Policy Team Lead

This is a contingent position based upon contract award

KBR is seeking a highly qualified candidate to act as Team Lead for a team providing policy support to the Chief Information Office (CIO) at a government customer in the Northern Virginia area. The Policy Team Lead will lead and manage a team of contractors / subcontractors, directing their efforts and overseeing the associated contractual, technical, engineering, programming, maintenance, and administrative efforts. They will monitor progress and brief leadership on program status and milestones while acting as the primary point of contact with the government customer on technical execution and project issues. The Policy Team Lead will work with the customer(s) to maintain a thorough understanding of the mission as it relates to policy and of and programmatic ore requirement changes to ensure effective support.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Manage, plan and direct the execution of the contractual, technical, engineering, programming, maintenance, and administrative efforts of the team.
  • Brief leadership on program progress, status, and achievement of milestones.
  • Be the primary interface customer(s) on technical and project issues.
  • Maintain awareness of the customer's mission and any potential impacts to that mission.


Required Qualifications:
  • CURRENT and ACTIVE TOP SECRET / SCI security clearance
  • Requires four years of experience as a project manager.
  • Experience providing technical support materials for senior leaders such as strategic papers, options analyses, executive briefings.
  • Experience overseeing or guiding portfolio/program performance, resource planning
  • Experience with acquisition/procurement strategy to include vendor management and enterprise licensing concepts.
  • Required Education / Relevant Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, data analytics, software engineering, or related technical field and 8 years of experience


Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience translating mission priorities into actionable IT roadmaps, investment plans, and measurable outcomes as it relates to counterintelligence and security missions.
  • Experience with Al architecture patterns (model hosting, vector search/RAG, data pipelines, APIs, orchestration)
  • Experience briefing senior leaders and driving cross-team delivery.


Basic Compensation:

$159,100 - $194,400 (This range is for Washington DC Metro Area Only).

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation.
