Job Description
This position is responsible for the support of life, annuity, and disability insurance policy administration systems and processes to enable system changes that support the needs of the business area(s) utilizing the systems. This role will involve communication keeping relevant parties updated on administration system updates and changes.
This is a hybrid role working partially in-office (Lincoln, NE or Cincinnati, OH) and partially from home.
What you do:
- Serve as the primary contact for business areas when production issues occur on Individual policy administration systems.
- Ensure timely analysis, escalation, and resolution of policy administration system and data issues.
- Perform system, process, and data analysis to identify root causes.
- Coordinate production issue resolution with IT teams and vendors, acting as the primary liaison with vendors by managing incident intake, clarifying business impact and priorities, tracking remediation actions, and ensuring timely resolution and follow-up.
- Own the production incident triage process, including incident intake, scoring and prioritization based on business impact and severity, coordination of initial response, and ongoing management through resolution.
- Lead communication with business partners, including Legal and Compliance, on the status, risks, and resolution of production issues; facilitate regular touchpoints such as monthly meetings and provide recurring status reporting to ensure alignment and transparency.
- Support accurate and efficient policy processing.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and reduce manual workarounds.
- Provide consistent communication and status reporting during production incidents and outages, including impact assessment, restoration progress, workaround updates, and post resolution follow up communications to business partners.
What you bring:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- 4-7 years of related experience required.
- Strong analytical and system analysis skills required.
- Life insurance, annuity, disability income policy administration system knowledge required.
- Strong communication and business partnership skills required.
- Advanced data analysis capabilities desired.
