The Menifee Police Department is pleased to formally announce its Police Captain promotional recruitment. Qualified candidates will be required to undergo a multi-faceted process prior to filling this integral position within our organization.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEAny combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be:
- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in criminal justice, police science, business administration, public administration, or a related field and seven (7) years (full-time equivalent) of increasingly responsible law enforcement experience, including one year of management experience as a Police Lieutenant.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS- Possession of a valid California P.O.S.T. Supervisory Certificate.
- Possession of a California P.O.S.T. Management Certificate is desirable.
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid California Driver's License by time of appointment.

All qualified applicants will be assessed on job-relevant qualifications, including possession of the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for the Police Captain position; ability to perform essential job functions; and related education, training, and experience.
