Salary: $127,646 - $165,945 per year based on experience.
Depending on the type of position (competitive/excepted) you are selected for, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period.
This position is a Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) position aligned under authorities of Section 1601, Chapter 83 of Title 10, United States Code and DoD which sets forth Air Force policies and procedures for DCIPS. This position is in the Excepted Service.

Qualifications/Requirements:
In this position, you will serve as the lead intelligence advisor to the division chief of the Air Force Operations (A3) Point Defense Task Force (PDTF). The advisor will develop intelligence requirements to support the emerging fields of counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (counter-UAS) and point defense (the defense of a single multi-unit geographical area or vital tactical position) in both Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS) environments.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a "Top Secret" security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
Required Core Competencies:
Enterprise Architecture: Knowledge of the National Intelligence Community (IC), Department of Defense (DoD), and United States Air Force (USAF) structure, organization, roles, missions, and inter-relationships, to include intelligence policy and guidance.
Force Generation & DOTMLPF-P: Knowledge of the Air Force's Organize, Train, and Equip (OT&E) functions and the role of intelligence in force generation, doctrine development, training curricula design, and the Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Leadership and Education, Personnel, Facilities, and Policy (DOTMLPF-P) process as it applies to the Point Defense mission.
Threat Assessment Methods: Knowledge of a comprehensive range of intelligence research methods and advanced analytical principles required to produce detailed threat assessments on adversary air and missile capabilities, identify intelligence gaps, and advocate for intelligence requirements in support of training and readiness.
Critical Decision Making: Ability to quickly assimilate disparate data, render knowledgeable and accurate assessments of the implication of such data, and make decisions, estimates, and recommendations under conditions of urgency and competing resources, based on mature judgment and experience, and present and/or defend a position effectively.
