Full Job Description
We are looking for a Podiatrist who is self-motivated, technically proficient and with great interpersonal skills to join our organization that prides itself in a great work culture. Physician will work closely with a team of professionals to provide culturally sensitive, high quality, comprehensive services to the community to achieve expected outcomes and comply with BSFHC Mission.
Responsibilities includes but not limited to:
37 Diagnoses, treats, or prescribes treatment of the foot, ankle, and other related. structures using medical histories, physical examinations, x-rays, and laboratory test results.
37 Prescribes medications, corrective devices, physical therapy, or surgery and sets fractures.
37 Administers medications and local anesthetics.
37 Orders additional medical tests (like X-rays, ultrasounds etc.) to form a better diagnosis if necessary.
37 Refers patients to other physicians or specialists for consultation in an inter-professional manner.
37 Advises patients about treatments and foot care techniques to prevent future problems.
37 Completes clinical notes within a timely fashion for each patient visit.
37 Displays a positive, professional, and respectful demeanor at all times toward fellow staff members, peers, professional contacts, and patients served.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
37 Must be fully licensed to practice in the state of NY
37 Board certified
37 Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree from an accredited program.
37 DEA certificate
37 2 + years of experience as a Podiatrist
37 Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment
37 Ability to communicate clearly and concisely
37 Excellent bedside manner, empathy, and patience
37 Up-to-date knowledge of latest technologies and treatments in Podiatry
Other Related Skills/Experience:
37 Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems and medical documentation.
37 Excellent communication, interpersonal, and cultural-competency skills for working with a diverse patient population.
37 Experience in dementia care as it relates to patient communication and understanding.
37 Familiarity with systemic health issues (e.g., diabetes, vascular, gastroenterology) that may impact podiatric health.
37 The ability to demonstrate teamwork and effective interpersonal relations skills is imperative.
37 Excellent written/oral communication and computer skills are required.
37 Ability to foster and maintain a positive working relationship in a multidisciplinary team and clients

Salary Hourly: $125,000 and based on experience
