Full Job Description
Position: PMW 160 CANES Platform Lead
Level: Mid-Level Analyst
Location: San Diego, CA
Telework: Hybrid remote/onsite
Travel: Less than 25% CONUS travel anticipated
Clearance: Active U.S. Secret Clearance required
Status: Currently funded; start available ASAP upon Prime and Government approval

XSITE LLC is seeking a PMW 160 CANES Platform Lead to support Shipbuilding and Conversion, Navy (SCN) efforts within the Warfighting Operations Directorate (WOD) Strategic Planning and Communications Portfolio. This role will support platform-level coordination for Tactical Networks/CANES systems on new construction Navy afloat platforms, including aircraft carriers.

This position is currently funded, and the selected candidate may start as soon as possible upon Prime and Government approval.

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of six years of experience supporting engineering of Information Technology systems, IT production coordination, project management, or related defense roles in support of the Department of Defense or a Government agency.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university required; degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physical Science desired.
  • Equivalent Navy, military, or directly applicable technical experience may be considered in lieu of degree where permitted by the applicable LCAT and customer approval process.
  • Active U.S. Secret Clearance.
  • Experience with installation of Navy Networks on new construction Navy afloat platforms.
  • Experience supporting Navy Systems Commands and acquisition/integration program offices.
  • Experience coordinating hardware/software procurement, delivery schedules, installation planning, fielding activities, or platform milestone tracking.
  • Experience developing or supporting financial planning documents, spend plans, Independent Government Cost Estimates, acquisition documentation, or procurement-related materials.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple organizations, technical teams, and senior stakeholders.
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to independently execute tasking and drive actions to closure.
  • Candidate must qualify for a Mid-Level LCAT at minimum under the applicable contract labor category matrix.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience supporting PMW 160, CANES, Tactical Networks, PEO C4I, NAVWAR, NIWC, or Navy shipbuilding/integration programs.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physical Science, or a related technical field.
  • Project Management Professional certification.
  • Experience with SCN funding, 7300 financial documents, Navy fielding plans, platform milestone tracking, and new construction ship integration.
  • Experience developing statements of work or requirements for installation/product teams.
  • Ability to develop and/or revise system designs and architectures to improve efficiency, stability, effectiveness, supportability, and sustainability.
  • Familiarity with shipboard loadout, daily status reports, TACNET trouble tickets, and in-yard installation schedules.
