We are seeking an experienced, results-driven Plumbing Service Manager with a strong background in plumbing and a proven ability to sell and close residential plumbing service opportunities.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who understands the plumbing trade, knows how to build and motivate a team, and has the sales skills to turn customer needs into completed repairs, replacements, and installations.
This role requires a manager who can confidently present solutions to homeowners, overcome objections, close sales, and coach technicians to improve their own sales performance. Responsibilities
As a Plumbing Service Manager, you will oversee daily operations for the plumbing service department and lead a team of plumbing technicians to deliver high-quality service.
Lead and grow a high-performing residential plumbing service team while leveraging strong plumbing expertise to identify customer needs and recommend effective repair, replacement, and installation solutions.
- Drive revenue by confidently presenting options to homeowners, handling objections, and consistently converting service opportunities into closed sales.
Oversee installation, repair, and maintenance of residential and commercial plumbing systems
Coordinate with builders, contractors, homeowners, inspectors, and project managers to ensure successful job completion
Manage department workload, staffing levels, and scheduling to meet production goals
Monitor labor costs, materials, and equipment usage to maintain profitability and margin targets
Provide estimates, review proposals, and support sales efforts for plumbing services
Ensure compliance with local plumbing codes, safety regulations, and company policies
Conduct job site visits and quality inspections to ensure workmanship standards are met
Maintain inventory, tools, vehicles, and materials needed for plumbing operations
Generate reports on departmental performance, production metrics, and service quality
Support dispatch operations to ensure proper technician assignments and service efficiency
Coach and develop technicians on both technical excellence and sales techniques, helping the team improve customer interactions, increase close rates, and deliver exceptional service experiences.
Qualifications
What You’ll Bring
Bring your years of journeyman-level plumbing experience or equivalent field experience
Prior experience supervising or managing plumbing service teams required.
Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, installation, and repair practices
Understanding of local and national plumbing codes
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage operations, staff, and budgets effectively
