Plumbing Manager

Cool Willy's - Tucson, AZ

Compensation: $80,000-$110,000 per year, depending on experience

Full-Time Leadership Position

Cool Willy's is looking for a strong, organized, and results-driven Plumbing Manager to lead and develop our growing plumbing department.

This is not a position where you need to be the most technically experienced plumber in the building.

We already have strong sales talent and experienced field supervision in place. What we need is a leader who can bring the entire department together by creating structure, developing employees, implementing processes, improving communication, driving accountability, and helping the team consistently execute at a high level.

Knowledge of the plumbing industry is strongly preferred, and hands-on plumbing experience is a plus. However, we are most interested in finding an experienced leader who understands how to organize and grow a service department, develop people, improve processes, and drive business performance.
What You'll Do
  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the residential plumbing department.
  • Create structure, organization, and clear expectations across the department.
  • Develop, coach, and mentor plumbing team members to improve performance and support career growth.
  • Establish consistent processes and ensure the team follows company procedures and operational standards.
  • Create clear accountability around individual and departmental performance.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, coaching sessions, and team meetings.
  • Partner closely with field supervisors and sales leaders to improve communication and execution across the department.
  • Monitor key performance indicators, including revenue, conversion rates, average ticket, callbacks, productivity, customer satisfaction, and other operational metrics.
  • Use performance data to identify problems, develop action plans, and improve departmental results.
  • Help technicians improve their communication, customer service, and ability to confidently present solutions to homeowners.
  • Identify training and development opportunities for team members.
  • Assist with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and retaining high-performing employees.
  • Improve communication and collaboration between technicians, dispatch, customer service, sales, and company leadership.
  • Help implement and maintain efficient scheduling, staffing, and workforce planning processes.
  • Address performance issues quickly and consistently while creating a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Support the continued growth, profitability, and scalability of the plumbing department.
What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience leading and developing teams.
  • Strong operational leadership and organizational skills.
  • Experience creating processes, improving workflows, and bringing structure to a growing department.
  • Strong sales leadership, coaching, or revenue-driving experience.
  • Ability to hold employees accountable while maintaining a positive and engaging team culture.
  • Experience managing performance through KPIs, scorecards, goals, and measurable expectations.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with field leaders, sales teams, technicians, dispatchers, and senior leadership.
  • Experience recruiting, onboarding, training, and developing employees.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
  • Plumbing or residential home service industry knowledge strongly preferred.
  • Previous hands-on plumbing experience is a plus but not required for the right leadership candidate.
  • Experience with Service Titan or similar home service management software is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
  • $80,000-$110,000 annual salary, depending on experience.
  • Full benefits package.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • 401(k) retirement plan.
  • Paid time off.
  • Paid holidays.
  • Full-time, year-round employment.
  • Opportunities for professional growth and advancement.
The Leader We Need

The right person for this position is a builder, organizer, and developer of people.

You know how to walk into a growing department, identify where structure is missing, establish clear processes, develop employees, improve communication, and create accountability.

You understand that strong leadership means setting clear expectations, coaching consistently, following up, recognizing high performers, and addressing performance issues when necessary.

If you are an experienced leader who enjoys developing people, building processes, driving sales performance, and turning a talented group of individuals into a high-performing team, we want to hear from you.

Apply today to join Cool Willy's and help lead the continued growth and development of our Plumbing Department.
