Responsibilities

  • Execute engineering tasks under a licensed engineer's supervision
  • Design plumbing systems using engineering evaluation and techniques
  • Produce design drawings and construction documents via CAD software
  • Calculate design requirements and quantities accurately
  • Draft specifications and contract documentation
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines as required
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervising engineer

Full Job Description
In the role of Plumbing Designer, we'll count on you to:

  • Perform engineering assignments under the direct supervision of a licensed engineer
  • Design tasks involving judgment in evaluating, selecting and applying engineering techniques and procedures
  • Production of design drawings and construction documents through the use of computer aided design and other software
  • Preparation of design or quantity calculations
  • Preparation of specifications and contract documents
  • Coordination with other disciplines as necessary
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervising engineer


Preferred Qualifications

  • ASPE Certified in Plumbing Design (CPD) credential strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in mechanical system design of commercial, institutional, or federal buildings
  • Experience with the design of healthcare, laboratory, data center, aerospace, and/or federal/DOD facilities.
  • Preference given to candidates currently residing in the Mid-Atlantic (VA/MD/DC) Area
