Purpose of Role

The Product Line Manager (PLM), Women's Train Apparel, is responsible for supporting the creation of consumer-relevant seasonal assortments that blend innovation, outfitting, style, and performance for the female athlete. This role manages key components of the product creation process from seasonal briefing through commercialization while balancing athlete insight, product execution, and commercial performance.

The PLM works closely with Design, Development, Consumer Merchandising, Marketing, Regional, and Supply Chain partners to deliver compelling product stories, strong product briefs, and commercially viable assortments that strengthen marketplace impact and franchise growth.

Success in this role requires strong product acumen, operational excellence, analytical capability, consumer curiosity, and the ability to navigate complexity with speed and accountability.

Your Impact

  • Build and manage seasonal line architecture, balancing innovation, core product, outfitting, and commercial relevance.
  • Own end-to-end product creation while simplifying assortments, clarifying product roles, and prioritizing hero stories.
  • Maintain deep expertise in product, materials, pricing, and trends while proactively resolving execution risks.
    • Measured by: On-time line completion, SKU productivity, franchise health, carryover mix, and product readiness.
  • Serve as the voice of the consumer and athlete, translating insights into actionable briefs and product solutions.
  • Leverage consumer, athlete, and cultural insights to shape assortments, ensuring solutions are tested and validated pre-commercialization.
    • Measured by: Insight integration, product truth, athlete validation, retail performance, and consumer resonance.
  • Partner with Merchandising and Finance to drive lifecycle planning, pricing, costing discipline, and profitable growth.
  • Use data, AI, and analytics to inform decisions, simplify trade-offs, and lead corrective actions based on marketplace feedback.
    • Measured by: Margin, SKU productivity, sell-through, franchise productivity, regional adoption, and business performance.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment across Product, Design, Merchandising, Marketing, Regions, and Supply Chain to deliver a unified plan.
  • Ensure strong execution through clear priorities, decision-making, governance rigor, and high-quality storytelling and sell-in tools.
    • Measured by: Cross-functional alignment, regional adoption, on-time delivery, reduced rework, and operational effectiveness.
  • Integrate consumer and athlete insights into product storytelling, seasonal narratives, and GTM strategies.
  • Ensure product truth and clear value communication drive marketplace storytelling and execution.
    • Measured by: GTM integration, campaign strength, consumer resonance, and storytelling clarity.
  • Drive innovation and product excellence through strong briefs, scalable platforms, and cross-functional integration.
  • Ensure execution excellence across fit, validation, and on-time buy-ready delivery.
    • Measured by: Brief quality, fit readiness, innovation integration, platform scalability, product validation, and execution timelines.
  • Demonstrate advanced use of AI, analytics, and tools to accelerate insights, efficiency, and decision-making.
  • Exhibit strong product taste, communication, and ownership while delivering high-quality, decision-ready work at pace.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with typically 8 years of relevant experience or Master's degree with typically 6 years of relevant experience or typically 12 years of relevant work experience without degree.
  • Experience developing pricing strategies and assortment mix that supports Brand position by channel, sales tools and executing final product mix
  • Product marketing and Consumer insight experience
  • Ability to influence cross-functional partners through strong and proven relationships
  • Ability to successfully lead a cross-functional pod


Workplace Location

  • Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Baltimore, MD (HQ) office.
  • Work Schedule: This role follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring 4 days in-office per week.
  • Travel: 10-15%

Base Compensation

$110,000.00-$150,000.00 USD

Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position.
