Purpose of Role

The Product Line Manager (PLM), Men's Train Apparel, plays a central role in building and managing seasonal product assortments that deliver against athlete needs, commercial goals, and marketplace opportunities. This role owns key aspects of the product creation process from seasonal briefing through commercialization, balancing consumer insight, product execution, innovation integration, and business performance.

The PLM partners cross-functionally with Design, Development, Consumer Merchandising, Marketing, Regional, and Supply Chain teams to create product stories and assortments that are commercially relevant, operationally executable, and grounded in strong product truth.

Success in this role requires strong product instincts, analytical thinking, operational rigor, consumer curiosity, and the ability to move with pace while driving decision-ready work across multiple workstreams.

Your Impact

  • Build and manage seasonal line architecture with clear product roles, balanced assortments, and focused hero strategies (measured by on-time line delivery, SKU productivity, franchise health, and product readiness)
  • Translate athlete and consumer insights into actionable product briefs and validated solutions (measured by product success, athlete feedback, and consumer resonance)
  • Drive commercial accountability through strong partnership with Merchandising and Finance on margin, pricing, and lifecycle planning (measured by margin, sell-through, SKU and franchise productivity)
  • Leverage data, analytics, and AI tools to inform decisions, mitigate risk, and optimize outcomes (measured by business performance and decision effectiveness)
  • Lead cross-functional alignment across Product, Design, Marketing, Regions, and Supply Chain to deliver "One Plan" execution (measured by alignment, buy-ready timelines, and operational efficiency)
  • Build compelling storytelling, product presentations, and sell-in narratives that bring seasonal direction to life (measured by adoption, clarity, and marketplace impact)
  • Ensure strong integration of brand storytelling with product truth and consumer value (measured by campaign effectiveness and product storytelling clarity)
  • Drive innovation and product excellence through strong briefs, technical understanding, and scalable platforms (measured by fit quality, innovation integration, and on-time execution)
  • Maintain deep expertise in materials, construction, pricing architecture, and competitive trends (measured by product quality and market relevance)
  • Demonstrate strong ownership, communication, and leadership across teams and processes (measured by speed, decision quality, and reduced friction)
  • Stay closely connected across categories and consumer touchpoints to ensure alignment (measured by consistency and regional adoption)


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with typically 8 years of relevant experience or Master's degree with typically 6 years of relevant experience or typically 12 years of relevant work experience without degree.
  • Proven experience managing seasonal line plans, product briefs, product lifecycles, and product creation processes.
  • Strong understanding of apparel construction, fit, fabrics, materials, performance validation, and product creation.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to leverage data, AI, digital tools, and advanced analytics for consumer insights, trend analysis, storytelling, workflow efficiency, and decision-making.
  • Ability to analyze data and make consumer- and business-driven recommendations.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to influence across functions in a matrixed environment.
  • Agility and flexibility to adapt quickly to changing priorities and market dynamics.
  • Passion for serving the male training athlete and driving innovation in performance apparel.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally approximately 10-15%.


Workplace Location

  • Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Baltimore, MD (HQ) office.
  • Work Schedule: This role follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring 4 days in-office per week.
  • Travel: 10-15%

Base Compensation

$110,000.00-$150,000.00 USD

Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position.
