Responsibilities

  • Program and modify PLC systems for optimal performance
  • Repair and resolve operational faults across all systems
  • Write and debug PLC logic while recommending corrective actions
  • Maintain and troubleshoot plant instrumentation and automation equipment
  • Access and utilize technical documentation and create necessary diagrams
  • Develop applications for Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs)
  • Plan and execute maintenance tasks including major overhauls
  • Identify and manage waste reduction projects in production
  • Train and coach team members to enhance equipment handling skills
  • Oversee various operational areas including production support and wastewater treatment

Overview

Factory Location: High Springs, FL

Compensation: $39.00/hr

Schedule: 6:00am - 4:30pm Monday-Friday with occasional overtime/on call availability

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose cause of electronic or mechanical malfunctions using knowledge, manuals, SOPs, specifications, and other workplace aids
  • Program and modify new and existing PLC programs
  • Resolve and repair all system faults and anomalies associated with installation, operation, maintenance, and connectivity problems including changes, adjustments, and modifications to control code and standard operating parameters
  • Write and debug PLC Logic and make recommendations for major corrective actions
  • Troubleshoot problems dealing with plant instrumentation and automation equipment including valves; pressure; temperature; level, flow, conductivity, speed, force instruments; motor controls; PLC's, HMI's, etc.
  • Obtain drawings, instructional manuals, and special procedures as needed from files or other sources. Make any additional sketches, diagrams, etc., as necessary
  • Develop applications using Human Machine Interfaces
  • Perform maintenance tasks to include repairing, planning, coordinating, and improving, from minor rebuilds to major overhauls on all equipment
  • Identify processing waste reduction opportunities and manage waste reduction projects
  • Communicate, coach, and train employees to continuously improve the team's ability to respond to equipment failures and loss of production
  • Areas of responsibility will include but are not limited to: Production support, Mechanical Room, Water Processing, Boiler Room, Wastewater Treatment, Water Chemical Treatment Program

Qualifications

  • Five or more years proven maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Intermediate working knowledge level of PLC programming and automation
  • Prior experience with high- and low-pressure compressors, chillers, water treatment, boilers is required.
  • Strong technical knowledge of compressed air systems (pneumatics), electrical systems, hydraulics and water processing
  • Must be self-managed and efficient when performing work unsupervised
  • Proficient computer navigation skills, including the use of Microsoft Office applications
  • Available for call-ins or to cover all shifts to support production teams as required
  • Be able to work flexible schedule as determined by business needs.
  • Must be able to foster and build a team
  • Must be willing and able to train other mechanics; ability to adapt to other's learning styles is imperative
  • Develop and prepare necessary reports, and maintain daily documentation
  • Candidates must complete the Mechanical Aptitude Test before being considered
  • Must be able to do physical inspections, (i.e. climbing, reaching, extending)


Candidates must possess strong English language skills to effectively communicate with customers and provide exceptional service. Proficiency in English is essential for understanding customer needs, resolving inquiries, and collaborating with team members.
