Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related field and 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a Silicon Engineer-related occupation.
  • Position requires: 5 years of experience in the Silicon development process from SoC definition through end-product volume ramp. 3 years of experience in at least three of the following areas: Test-planning; Power and Performance evaluation; IP or SoC validation; Silicon Architecture; Silicon Design; Silicon Verification; Embedded SW; Silicon Bring-up; or Product volume ramp. 2 years of experience in coding, and silicon and system debugging. 1 year of experience working in a technical leadership role

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $229,600 to $237,000 15% bonus target equity benefits determined by role, level, and location. Position reports to the Google Mountain View, CA office & may allow for a hybrid schedule as per Google policy.

The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.

Responsibilities
  • Work with pre- and post-silicon teams to develop, simulate, and validate targeted tests and provide documentation of the pre- and post-silicon validation tests and ensure it is easy to use.
  • Develop custom silicon chips for consumer devices.
  • Manage the execution of Validation plans to ensure robust Silicon quality for Google's products.
  • Develop hardware and software platforms to validate Google's custom Silicon chips.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for product volume ramp and product launch.
