Qualifications- 4-6 years of professional infrastructure, platform, DevOps, or SRE experience
- Hands-on Kubernetes experience; experience with OpenShift a plus
- Working competency in Go, with the ability to make changes to an existing service
- Experience with Helm for packaging and deployment
- Experience working with PostgreSQL (queries, migrations, basic operations)
- Experience with Grafana or comparable monitoring/observability tooling (e.g., Prometheus)
- Solid software development experience-comfortable writing and maintaining automation, tooling, and service code
- Exposure to infrastructure-as-code practices

Preferred Qualifications- Familiarity with the Kubernetes operator/controller pattern (CRDs, reconciliation)
- Production PostgreSQL operations experience (backups, tuning, scaling)

A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $90,00 to $112,500 annually. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that are not included in the base pay.

Job SummaryWe are seeking a Platform Engineer to help build and operate the infrastructure, reliability, and operability of our product platform. This role balances infrastructure engineering with hands-on development-you will help run containerized services on Kubernetes, contribute to an in-house Go control-plane service, work with data infrastructure, support observability, and write automation and tooling that keeps the platform healthy.
You will work across the platform-from container build and deployment through data services, monitoring, and incident response-contributing to a system maintained by the wider team and partnering with application developers to ship and run workloads reliably in production.
Key Responsibilities Platform & Deployment Engineering
- Help deploy and operate containerized services on Kubernetes / OpenShift, packaged and released via Helm
- Contribute to an in-house Go control-plane service that reconciles Kubernetes resources to provision and manage isolated per-user
- environments - make changes to reconcile logic and add features within established patterns
- Manage multi-environment configuration and promote changes safely across environments
- Apply security and least-privilege practices to deployments
Data Infrastructure
- Work with PostgreSQL as a primary data store-queries, migrations, and routine operations
- Help manage deployment-time secrets across environments
Observability & Reliability
- Build and maintain monitoring, dashboards, and alerting with Grafana and related tooling
- Instrument services for health, performance, and usage insight
- Participate in incident response and on-call; investigate issues and drive fixes
Development & Developer Enablement
- Write and maintain automation, tooling, and service code that supports the platform
- Provide reliable local and staging environments for application developers
- Improve deployment safety, rollback, and release confidence ahead of launches
- Partner with application teams to ship features into production
AI-Assisted & Agentic Engineering
- This role requires comfort working alongside AI-powered tools while maintaining strong engineering judgment, validation, and accountability for outcomes.
- Engineers will contribute to the adoption and continuous improvement of AI-enabled workflows by providing feedback, identifying opportunities for automation, and safely incorporating AI assistance into repeatable operational patterns.
- This includes leveraging approved AI tools and agents to assist with platform operations, troubleshooting, automation, documentation, and workflow efficiency under established governance and best practices.
- Engineers on the INFOPS IT Architecture team are expected to actively use and support AI-assisted and agentic engineering workflows as part of their day-to-day work.
