Responsibilities and DutiesReviews and interprets submarine alteration documentation and technical directives, supports engineering assessments for shipboard network and fiber optic systems, provides technical input for planning and execution of platform modifications, and maintains familiarity with platform GFI management plans and installation requirements.
Qualifications and SkillsRequired knowledge and years of experienceMust have a minimum of five (5) years' experience reviewing and interpreting submarine alteration documentation. Experience with shipboard fiber cable plants (conventional and blown optic) is desired. Knowledge of commercial and MIL-style fiber components is desired. Familiarity with submarine platform GFI management plans is desired.
Education RequirementsBachelor's Degree in any engineering discipline is preferred.
