What We Do
The Platform Engineer designs, implements, and maintains the cloud infrastructure, automation, and platform services that enable software engineering teams to develop, deploy, and operate business applications efficiently and securely.
This role works within the Platform Engineering & Software Development team and partners with IT Operations, Information Security, Software Support, and business stakeholders to build reliable cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, application security integrations, and operational tooling.
The Platform Engineer will also serve as a hands-on AI solutions builder. This individual will design and develop AI agents, AI-enabled workflows, and internal automation solutions that reduce manual effort, improve employee productivity, and support title and escrow operations.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Platform Engineering and Cloud Infrastructure

  • ​Design, implement, and maintain Microsoft Azure infrastructure supporting business-critical applications.
  • Build and support secure, scalable, and reliable cloud platform services.
  • Configure and maintain Azure serverless components, including Azure Functions.
  • Support Azure resources such as Storage Accounts, Key Vault, and API Management.
  • Develop reusable infrastructure components using Infrastructure as Code principles.
  • Partner with software developers to improve application architecture, deployment reliability, scalability, and operational performance.
  • Participate in platform lifecycle planning, upgrades, technical evaluations, and continuous improvement initiatives

CI/CD and Developer Enablement

  • Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
  • Develop deployment automation using YAML, PowerShell, and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Create reusable pipeline templates, deployment processes, and self-service tools that improve developer productivity.
  • Automate application and database deployments across development, testing, and production environments.
  • Assist development teams with build, deployment, configuration, and environment-related issues.
  • Participate in release planning, deployment readiness reviews, and production support.
  • Review pull requests for deployment, configuration, security, and platform-related considerations.
  • Apply working knowledge of C# and .NET when reviewing application changes and collaborating with software developers.

AI Agents and Intelligent Workflow Development

  • Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain AI agents and AI-enabled workflows that support title and escrow operations.

  • Work directly with operational teams to understand business processes, identify inefficiencies, and translate business needs into practical AI solutions.
  • Develop AI-based tools that assist with information retrieval, document processing, workflow coordination, quality control, decision support, and other operational activities.
  • Integrate AI agents with approved applications, APIs, databases, and internal knowledge sources.
  • Use orchestration, prompt design, retrieval-augmented generation, structured outputs, and workflow automation to create dependable business solutions.
  • Establish appropriate validation, monitoring, human-review, security, and data-handling controls for AI-enabled processes.
  • Evaluate AI development platforms, models, frameworks, and tools for potential business use.
  • Use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate prototyping and delivery while maintaining appropriate testing, security, and change-management practices.
  • Document AI solutions, data flows, limitations, support procedures, and operational controls.
  • SQL and Business Reporting

  • Write and maintain SQL queries used for operational reporting, troubleshooting, analysis, and application support.
  • Develop and modify reports using SQL Server Reporting Services.
  • Work with business stakeholders to translate reporting needs into accurate and useful reports.
  • Review report logic, data relationships, filters, and calculations to help ensure accurate results.
  • Troubleshoot report performance and data-quality issues.
  • Support the automation and modernization of recurring operational reports. Specifically, PowerBI knowledge for potential migration preferred.
  • DevSecOps and Application Security

  • Integrate security testing and controls into software delivery pipelines.
  • Configure and maintain Snyk and StackHawk application security tools.
  • Partner with developers to identify, prioritize, and remediate security vulnerabilities.
  • Automate security scanning and validation within CI/CD processes.
  • Support security audits, compliance initiatives, and application-hardening activities.
  • Help establish secure development and deployment standards.
  • Cloud Networking and Edge Services

  • Administer Cloudflare services, including:
    • Web Application Firewall
    • DNS management
    • SSL/TLS configuration
    • Traffic routing and performance optimization
  • Support secure connectivity between cloud services, applications, and business systems.
  • Investigate and respond to application availability, networking, DNS, and security issues.
  • Assist with the implementation of protections against common web application threats.
  • Platform Operations and Support

  • Participate in operational support, incident response, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
  • Monitor platform health, application availability, deployment results, and security findings.
  • Develop automation that reduces repetitive work and improves reliability and consistency.
  • Create and maintain infrastructure diagrams, technical documentation, operating procedures, and platform standards.
  • Identify and implement improvements to platform reliability, scalability, security, and supportability.
  • Collaborate across technical and business teams during application incidents and significant system changes.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

Required Education, Experience, Certification/Licensure

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Three or more years of experience in Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, DevOps, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Hands-on experience administering and supporting Microsoft Azure environments.
  • Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
  • Experience authoring and maintaining YAML-based pipelines.
  • Strong PowerShell scripting and automation skills.
  • Experience with Azure serverless technologies, particularly Azure Functions.
  • Proficiency writing SQL queries for reporting, analysis, troubleshooting, or application support.
  • Experience creating or maintaining reports using SQL Server Reporting Services or a comparable reporting platform.
  • Demonstrated experience developing AI-enabled applications, AI agents, or automated AI workflows.
  • Understanding of APIs, application integrations, structured data, and secure data handling.
  • Experience troubleshooting cloud infrastructure, application deployments, and production issues.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle practices and Git-based source control.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Bicep, ARM Templates, Terraform, or similar deployment automation technologies.
  • Experience with Snyk and StackHawk.
  • Experience administering Cloudflare WAF and DNS services.
  • Experience implementing DevSecOps practices and integrating automated security testing into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Working knowledge of C# and .NET sufficient to review pull requests, understand application changes, and collaborate with developers.
  • Experience with AI agent frameworks, orchestration tools, retrieval-augmented generation, vector search, or enterprise knowledge integrations.
  • Experience building AI solutions that incorporate human review, access controls, monitoring, evaluation, and auditability.
  • Experience integrating AI solutions with REST APIs, SQL databases, document repositories, or line-of-business applications.
  • Experience with GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot Studio, Azure AI services, Azure OpenAI, OpenAI technologies, or comparable platforms.
  • Experience optimizing SQL queries and report performance.
  • Experience supporting business-critical systems in title, escrow, real estate, financial services, or another regulated industry.
